During the fall of 2015, we boated by Christian Island Lighthouse in Georgian Bay on a beautiful, sunny day. Georgian Bay, often called the Sixth Great Lake, is part of Lake Huron. The birds were soaring and the lighthouse was a gleaming white beacon that I knew would make a lovely painting. I could not wait to paint this one, so I completed the painting on our boat while continuing our journey so that I could preserve the memory of this beautiful sight.

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature. I believe in lifelong learning and love the painting process where you never stop learning and discovering new things. I hope you enjoy my paintings!
