A single rose has such an amazing variety of shapes and colors! No 2 roses are ever alike. This diversity is one of the reasons that the rose is such a popular flower. It is said that a rose symbolizes love, promise, hope and new beginnings which are words with which we can all relate.
My granddaughter has asked me several times to paint her a rose. How could I say no? This painting symbolizes my love for her and all of the promise she shows in her talents and abilities.

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature. I believe in lifelong learning and love the painting process where you never stop learning and discovering new things. I hope you enjoy my paintings!
