Autumn in Upstate New York is incredibly beautiful and hard to believe until you see it. On sunny days, the sky is intensely blue and the leaves are vibrant shades of red, yellow, and orange. The Adirondack mountains add color and depth to every view and lakes and rivers abound. In this scene, the colorful, autumn trees reflect in this bright, sunlit river creating an autumn view that is unforgettable.

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature.
