An American Tree Frog waits in anticipation of catching a fly. Not all Tree Frogs live in trees - they also sit on small branches and leaves. This frog was painted for my grandson who repeatedly requested a painting of a green frog. He chose a reference photo of an American Green Tree Frog as his frog of choice for the painting and here is the result. We think he is smiling in anticipation of dinner. What do you think?

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature. I believe in lifelong learning and love the painting process where you never stop learning and discovering new things. I hope you enjoy my paintings!
