Artist's Description

One evening on our journey through the Trent Severn Waterway, we anchored off of Grand Island on Pigeon Lake in a small harbor protected from the wind. In the morning we witnessed a spectacular dawn. The sky began to grow pink on the horizon and soon displayed many shades of purple, pink and blue. The clouds turned peach and then yellow as the lemon yellow sun peeked above the horizon. We were surrounded with color as the dawn sky reflected in the water. A spectacular beginning to a new day.
