Years ago, while hiking in the Adirondacks near Stillwater NY, we came upon a hidden waterfall bursting from the rocks above. The sun glistened on the water which made a musical sound as it rapidly fell over the rocks and poured into a nearby stream. The splash of the falls was a refreshing respite from the heat of the day.
It was an awe inspiring site and one that I have not forgotten. While I am still unsure of the exact location, this memory has become a vision of the perfect waterfall - one that any of us could find. On your next hike, keep a lookout for the beautiful Hidden Falls in your area.

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature.
