It is said that "The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough"(Rabindranath Tagore). The monarch butterfly is one of the most beautiful and is seen frequently during the late summer and the fall in the northeast. Their wings are almost translucent and look very delicate and yet they migrate south every year and fly thousands of miles which is truly amazing!

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature.
