Description

Canyon Lake in Arizona, part of the Tonto National Forest, is a most unexpected place. Beautiful, blue water, supplied by the San Jacinto River and Salt Creek, runs between towering sandstone cliffs. Mountain goats can be seen on the mountainsides high above the water. I was so surprised to see sailboats on this lake, but apparently there is enough wind. This painting captures two sailboats about to travel 'Round the Bend.
