Artist's Description
The first full moon in February is often called the Snow Moon. In northeast North America, it is aptly named as it does seem to rise when there is much snow on the ground. The Snow Moon seems so bright as the moonlight reflects off the snow and it is amazing how well you can see. Most small creatures stay hidden at this time as they are so easily visible. But the squirrel in this painting cannot resist going out on a limb to gaze in wonder at the beautiful Snow Moon.
