This painting was inspired by a family of deer we encountered in the woods in upstate New York. They seemed to be waiting for someone. As I painted this scene, I continued to wonder who they were waiting for? And then, it came to me - they were waiting for Snow White. The title suits the painting and creates the opportunity for a whole new story. Perhaps I will write it someday.

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature. I believe in lifelong learning and love the painting process where you never stop learning and discovering new things. I hope you enjoy my paintings!
