My grandson loves striped lighthouses. As we boated by the White Shoals Lighthouse in Lake Michigan, I realized it was the perfect subject for a painting for him. I took multiple photos and painted this painting while boating South so that it would be done by the time we arrived. The White Shoals lighthouse is faded but Magnus's Lighthouse stays clear and bright.

I love being outdoors and seeing the beauty of nature during all seasons. I love color and the great way you feel when colors come together in just the right way. This is the inspiration for my painting and most of my work depicts scenes from nature. I believe in lifelong learning and love the painting process where you never stop learning and discovering new things. I hope you enjoy my paintings!
