Description
An Egret was fishing in the dark shallows of an inlet. Occasionally he would look out at the open water where the sun was bright and other birds were noisily flying about. He gave one last search of the dark shallows and made his decision to fly To the Light.
We are all faced with the challenge of change in our lives. To move on or stay put. This painting represents this challenge, as well as an implied decision to move toward a potentially brighter future.
Many cultures believe that the light represents holiness, goodness, knowledge and wisdom. In Celtic culture, the Egret was thought to be a messenger from the spirit world and was considered to be sacred.
